Lindsay M. Browne is originally from Austin, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas – Austin in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. She then worked in commercial real estate for her father, Steve McMillon, Senior Broker at The Kucera Companies, as a marketing and leasing associate for a year before entering South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.
During her time at law school, she interned for Judge Russell Austin, Judge of Harris County Statutory Probate Court 1. She also interned for an estate planning and probate firm, Dinkins Kelly, Lenox, Lamb and Walker, in Houston, Texas.
She graduated from South Texas College of Law in May 2005, and was admitted to the Texas Bar in November 2005. While waiting on her bar results, she worked for a title/HUD closing company in Houston, Texas, and assisted with real estate closings. Since being admitted to the bar, she has concentrated her practice in the area of family law. Shortly thereafter, she started her own practice in November 2007 in Houston, Texas.
She and her family moved to the Corpus Christi area in December 2008. She has served the community and the Corpus Christi Bar Association on several board positions, and also continues to take several pro bono cases per year for the Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid agency. She served as the President of the Family Law Section from 2013-2014.
In May 2014, Lindsay was elected as the “Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year,” by the Corpus Christi Bar Association, which was a tremendous honor. In 2015, she was asked to become a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, which was yet another great honor. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Alexandra (“Allie”), age 16, who is the greatest joy in her life. She also enjoys photography, fishing, and traveling.
